Narratives of Desire

Romantic love, rife with anticipation, expectation and disappointment is the theme of  “Narratives of Desire.” And though transitional spaces of doors, windows and mirrors hint at an outside world, the stage here is firmly domestic. Like actors on stage, the lovers are caught up in the dramas of their own expectations, fears, disappointments, anticipation, and sometimes, the fulfillment of their desire.

These scenes, somewhere between documentary and staged, depict real couples.  A gesture, a gaze, or the charged space between two bodies provide clues to a narrative which remains incomplete.
